Snowflakes

Snowflakes floating gently

Amidst the frosty air

Snowflakes of various shapes

Both oblong and circular

Its color; many hues

Of white that’s quite fair

Snowflakes, as you dance

As if without a care

In this world full of hatred

Manifest in many ways

Continue to descend

In your merry downward path

Snowflakes landing softly

No loud clatter heard

As they touch the ground

Clinging to its particles

Of crumbly brown soil

That shiver in the cold

Snowflakes, please cover up

The scarred earth beneath you

With your fleecy blanket

OF pure white grains

So that it shall not suffer

From hate anymore
