Only a tiny puddle remains
On the bottom of the driveway
And several feet of mud surrounding it
Testifying to the rainstorm that ensued
For two days prior
With its gusty, brutal winds
It’s’ torrential downpours
Chilly air
All gone now
Leaving just a faint reminder
Of what it was
Inside the house
Meltdowns fizzle out
My son says before bedtime
That he finally feels relaxed
The house is clean
All mud and debris mopped away
We are ready for Shabbos
Almost
Just haven’t baked cookies yet
Inside our hearts a hope
That the world storm will soon settle itself
Bringing peace and clarity to all
That the world will soon enter the Shabbos phase
Total peace
Agreeing to disagree
Put differences aside
Act with kindness
Lead with love
Communicate with clarity
Very soon
